வரணிப்பிரதேச கல்விச்சமூகத்தின் கல்வி வளர்ச்சியில் அடிநாதமாய் விளங்கும் வரணி மத்திய கல்லூரியின் பழைய மாணவர் சங்கத்தினால் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட இணையத்தளத்தின் மூலம் சர்வதேச மெங்கும் பரந்துவாழும் எமது கல்லூரியின் பழைய மாணவர்களை ஒன்றிணைத்து கல்லூரியின் வளர்ச்சிப்பணியில் ஈடுபடுத்தும் முகமாக இவ் இணையத்தளம் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
எமது இனத்தின் பாரம்பரியம் மற்றும் கலாசார விழுமியங்களை பேணிப்பாதுகாக்கும் கல்விச்சமூகத்தின் செயற்பாட்டுக்கு வலுச்சேர்க்கும் என்பதில் நான் பெருமிதமடைகின்றேன்.

கல்லூரியின் வரலாறு
இன்றைய நவீன உலகில் சவால்களின் மத்தியில் வரணி மண் தனித்துவமான கிராமமாக மிளிர காரணம் இக்கிராமத்தின் கல்விநிலை என்றால் மிகையாகாது.
இந்த வகையில் கிராம கல்வி வளர்ச்சியில் பெரும் வேகத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி வருவது
வரணி மத்திய கல்லூரியாகும். சாவகச்சேரி தொகுதி பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்
அமரர் வேலுப்பிள்ளை குமாரசாமி அவர்கள் மற்றும் வரணி கிராமசபை தலைவர் அமரர் வீரகத்தியார் சிதம்பரநாதன் ஆகியோரின் அயராத உழைப்பினால் 1954 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 11ம் நாள் அன்றைய கௌரவ கல்வி மந்திரி எம்.டி பண்டார அவர்களால் வரணி கனிஸ்ட வித்தியாலயம் திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டது.
